Long Bio: My dad made DogScape and my Uncle Ron took some of my pictures. Uncle Ron has a dog, Sydney. I've never met my cousin Sydney, but want to one of these days. |
Adoption Story: We wanted a dog that would be good with cats and children. We spent a lot of time looking at different breeds. One day, we found the "smooth collie" breed. It was all the goodness of the collie without a lot of the brushing. We looked at a number of breeders. We found Row-Bar Kennels in North Carolina. I called Row-Bar and spent an hour on the phone with Robette Johns talking about the breed, the litter, and her asking me all kinds of questions about our house, our intentions, etc.
Archer arrived by plane. As a 10-week-old pup, he took an 8 hour plane ride. He was not happy when he landed. It took almost an hour in traffic to get home. Once he got out of his cage in the back yard, he forgot all about the nasty plane ride and ran all around and was happy. He's been happy ever since. |
